Periodontal disease, injury and tooth decay can all cause a loss of your natural teeth. However, we can bring back the smile on your face with dentures to restore your missing teeth. With improved technology and updated materials, dentists can now make them appear more natural and more comfortable for the patient.
Types of Dentures
There are two types: complete and partial.
- Complete dentures replace all the teeth (except for wisdom teeth) in one or both jaws .
- Partial dentures can replace multiple missing teeth in the same jaw. Several options exist for partial dentures. To know which type is best for you, be sure to ask your doctor.
It may take some time to adjust to your dentures. Many times this includes our adjusting them to relieve sore spots. We expect your need for adjustments and at Woodbury Dental Care Center, patients receive their adjustments free of charge. Speaking and eating may feel different at first, but these regular activities will resume normally once you are accustomed to your dentures.
Dentures and partials provided at Woodbury Dental Care Center are guaranteed not to chip, crack, break or lose a tooth. Should any of these occur, there is no charge to repair them at Woodbury Dental Care Center.
